While enjoying a rare opportunity to knock back a few drinks at the bar with my better half AND my pop, the missus threw me a new sketch challenge.

This time, it was a personal favorite — an Alma Kinan warrior chick from Suikoden III.

That game has always been very endearing to me, as I met Jess by cosplaying one of the main characters from it. Suikoden III also ranks on my “Top Ten” favorite games of all time in terms of sheer playability, and engrossing storyline. I had WELL over 200 hours in it.

Anyways, this sketch is of Yuiri, the chief of a forest-dwelling (and all-female) village of warriors, known as Alma Kinan. Though it’s pretty loose as far as sketches are concerned, I was pretty happy with the pose. I definitely need to do some more Suikoden art further on down the road.

I was also a blast to give pop a chance to see me bang out a sketch while getting a bit sauced… there’s nothing better than sharing the love at a drink-and-draw.
